This review is for the new people to the hobby. Sometimes people get overwhelmed by the cost of starting the Metal Detecting Hobby. I know I did. I have always like the mid line models for a detector. That helps to save money. But what do we try to save money on next. The digger. Big mistake.
I went through 3 or 4 diggers from the hardware store before I smart about it. And at $10 a piece. I could of saved myself $30 or $40 if I did it right. How do you do it right. Buy the Lesche Digger.
The down fall. (haha)  And only because it is not free. It cost about $39.99 at most hobby stores. It will be the best $40 you spend. Unlike most garden tools the beginner usually buys. The Lesche comes with a  that corduroy case that attaches to your belt or treasure pouch. You don't have to worry about the case ripping to much either. It has a heavy duty plastic insert that protect the case. The only you have to do with the case is empty the dirt every now and then.

You can sharpen it if you want. Use a grinder to put a serrated edge on it if yours doesn't come with one. Some dealers will do it for you. George Streeter has done it for me. I would recommend putting a serrated edge on if yours doesn't have one. When you are in peoples yards. It makes a nicer looking cut. And it makes cutting the grass a whole lot easier. I have pulled baseball size rocks out with mine. It has a hand guard on it. It helps with digging that hard soil. The hand grip is made of a hard plastic. And last a long time. I have had mine for about 5 years. Good for me. Bad for Lesche. But I will continue to use and recommend Lesche.
So. To the new detectorist. Take a look at it. Ask your dealer if you can try it. Then buy it. Don't waste your time or money on a garden tool.
Don't forget to have fun!!!!
