Shipwreck Diving, A Complete Diver's Handbook to Mastering the Skills of Wreck Diving

Author: Daniel Berg

Paperback edition: 90 pages

Published: 1991 Aqua Explorers

Daniel Berg's specialty is Wreck Diving. He is Captain of a 40' charter boat named the Wreck Valley and has authored at least 10 books on wreck diving. He has also been published in Skin Diver magazine and other magazines. His photographs have been shown on national networks so you can imagine the knowledge this man would have on the subject.

With that said, I feel the title of the book is a little deceiving. With a book called a complete guide you would expect something like a start to finish guide for shipwreck divers. This book left a lot to be desired if someone was looking for things such as safety while diving or researching spots to dive. What it did cover in detail is preserving things found while diving.

Another strong point of the book is how to select the right gear and how to use a metal detector in dives which would be of interest to people on this site. I also liked the photography and stories from the author. If  you are beginning to dive this book would be good for you but experienced divers may not be interested.
