In the past, in Guadeloupe, (a Department of France) several times, we found over 200 gold jewelry items and more then a pound of 18k gold in a week. However this time, it was only 96 pieces of 18k gold weighing about 240 ounces. We gave it our best shot (working the beaches from 8:30am to 5:30pm every day & in doing so, we had a great time and experience. Billy (Goldy) Mitchell found the most gold = 35 18k gold jewelry items weighing 79.8 grams ($1,836 worth of gold) Sea Hunter Streeter found eighteen 18k items weighing 49.8 grams with a $1,146 gold value Chad found 18 golds weighing 37.4 grams ($860 gold value) Charlie found 15 golds weighing 38.1 grams ($836.00 gold value ) Don found 10 weighing 36.6 grams ($841.95 gold value) total 18k gold found by weight was 241.7 grams at today's (8/5/09) price ($953.90 an oz.) = $5,560.00 .JPG)
